Abstract

An apparatus for obtaining hysteresis loops by using the magneto-optic Kerr effect is described. Hysteresis loops provide important information on the magnetic properties of thin films. Growth of these films by sputtering is discussed. Sample hysteresis loops will be presented, as well as data showing the temperature dependence of Terbium-Iron samples.
